Let’s get to know each other!
As important as it is to admire a photographer’s work it is even more crucial to connect with them on a personal level. There’s nothing like working with people who “get” you. Personally, when I’m hiring vendors for work that is of utmost importance and a significant investment, I look for someone who is an expert in their craft. I also look for someone who I have great chemistry with, who I completely trust, and align in the same vision and goals. I’m happy to share about me to see if I’d be a great fit for you!
I come from a family of artists…
Both of my parents were photography majors and my sister is a professional graphic designer and art director, so you can say being an artist runs in my veins. I completed a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in Entertainment Art and studied all different types of media - drawing, painting, sculpture, and animation.
At one point, I was interested in composite work - putting together multiple photos and illustrations to create new imagery. It was a perfect way to combine my love for photography, drawing, and imaginative story-telling.
I basically grew up with Photoshop and know it as well as I do my own sister.
Through my studies I learned how to use composition, lighting, color, and body language to evoke emotions. All of these concepts that I learned in college have become skills that I use today in my photography. Instead of just snapping away haphazardly at everything, I am actively thinking about how to best tell your story, communicate a message, or convey a feeling.
